Stark County Housing Authority Board Opening

Position Objectives:

Stark County is seeking a representative to serve on the Housing Authority Board to help set policy for the housing programs and look to the future to maintain affordable housing options.

The Stark County Housing Authority, striving to provide decent, safe and sanitary housing for the low-income residents of Western North Dakota, seeks to increase affordable rental housing opportunities through the provision of financial assistance programs, collaborative efforts, supportive services and effective management in an environment without discrimination.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Meet quarterly at the Housing Authority office in Dickinson, ND.  Review Financials, programs, and set policy.  Goals are set once a year.

Minimum Requirements:

Resident of Stark County

Desirable Training and Experience:

No experience necessary.  On the job training provided.

The Stark County Housing Authority administers the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher
Program for Stark, McKenzie and Dunn Counties. Using this program allows you to move into a
rental unit that is owned by a private landlord. Your rent is based upon 30% of your adjusted
monthly income.

We also manage the Patterson Heights and Heritage Hills apartments in Dickinson.
