Notice of Real Estate Assessment
The Stark County Tax Director’s Office has started to mail out real estate assessment notices to all property owners in Stark County. Small cities notices went out March 18th, and the county notices will be mailed out around May 15th.
These notices are being sent in accordance with changes made to NDCC 57-02-53 during the 2025 Legislative Session. In previous years, notices were only sent to owners of property that increased in value by a certain threshold.
These notices are NOT A BILL! They show your property’s True & Full Value for the current 2026 year compared to the previous 2025 year.
Note that a change in property value does not automatically mean your taxes are going to increase, as property taxes are also based on local budgets and levies.

Our stark.northdakotaassessors.com website will not be updated until the new values are approved by the Stark County Board of Equalization.
